Udaipur the city of “Rajputs and traditions”. It was the capital of Mewar, Rajasthan. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1559. The city is also known as the “city of lakes”. Places to Visit in Udaipur:


City Palace


City palace one of the most beautiful palaces in India. It was built 400 years ago by Maharana Udai Singh II. Its construction was started in 1553. It is famous for his history, architecture and its painting. Open timings are: (9:30 am to 5:30 pm) open every day. Tickets: 30 INR for adults and 15 INR for children. City palace reminds us of our Indian History!! It is situated on the bank of Pichola lake. There is a City Museum too. Enjoy a scenic view of Pichola Lake and it is located on the Mountain from where you can enjoy the whole view of the city. You will also see some gardens and courtyards inside the palace. And the amazing paintings and architecture of that time. Palace also introduces us to the way of living of people at that time.

Pichola Lake


Pichola lake is situated next to the city palace. It is an artificial lake which was made in 1362A.D. This lake is famous for boating, nature, and photography. People also love the view of the sunset here. Tickets: 400 INR for adults and 200 for children.



This beautiful palace builds on the island of Pichola lake. Its construction was continued by 3 Maharanas, Maharana Amar Singh (1559 – 1620) to Maharana Karan Singh (1584 -1628) completed by Maharana Jagat Singh (1607-1652). Then it was named Jagat Mandir. Weddings and parties are also organized here.

Jagdish Temple


Jagdish Temple is a large Hindu temple within the middle of Udaipur in Rajasthan, just outside the royal palace. it’s been in continuous worship since 1651. a big tourist attraction, the temple was originally called the temple of Jagannath Rai but is now called Jagdish-Ji. it’s a significant monument in Udaipur. It is a major tourist attraction in Udaipur. Timings: 7 am to 10 pm.

Fateh Sagar Lake


Fateh Sagar Lake is situated within the city of Udaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. it’s a man-made lake named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur and Mewar, constructed north-west of Udaipur, to the north of Lake Pichola in the 1680s.

Saheliyon- ki- Bari


This place is known as “Garden of Maidens” by Maharana Sangram Singh in the 18th century. King made this garden for royal ladies for their relaxation and enjoyment. This garden includes beautiful fountains and ponds with lotus flowers in it. Timings: 9:00am to 7:00pm. Tickets: 5-10rs per person

Vintage Car Museum


The vintage car museum is one the most beautiful museum where u find, there are antique royal things like Cars, painting, architecture, and much more stuff. Timings: 9:00am to 9:00pm.

Moti Magri


This place is also known as “Maharana Pratap memorial” it is made in tribute of the Maharana Pratap Singh and his horse.
It is situated on a hilltop from where you can also enjoy the scenic beauty of Fateh Sagar Lake and don’t forget to enjoy Light & Sound show at 8:15 pm. Timing of Moti Magri 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
